The Red Fox of Happiness. :)



Yesterday I made my start on the smaller of the two charts on Prairie Schooler's Bk 149 "November".

Of course, I started at The Fox. :) I've converted the fibers to cotton overdye, and given the fox a cream tip to his brush. :3

Envelopes went out to Hazel and Blu this morning; they should arrive in 7 to 10 days, ladies!

I've been stitching on WiPs and also started stitching the model for my first Original Design, which will be a freebie when I get it finished! I am SO enjoying watching it take shape. Now, the progress pics! Decided to change the "B" on this one, but don't quite like it. I'm thinking of making it a darker color. Or should I just put my signature initial "B" and be done with it? And "November Windows" by Prairie Schooler (actually just "November"'s companion chart. I'm already almost out of the darkest color's skein for this one! The Fox! Tom needs a body--perhaps someone ate it! (actually the color I subbed--thinking it was only for the words--is way too dark so a plan B is in order.) Thursday's Child

What a Day! What a Year! What a Decade! Dare I say, "What A Life!"? I don't know that I could, factually, as I don't remember a good portion of it. :/ Well, Onward and Upward! :) Here are some stragglers that I meant to post in September, along with all those deserts and such--they are almost in season again! This was the first Arbor Day Exchange I sent to Lindsay . It never reached her, though a notice about a report being filed for its "theft" recently did. Wild! This was a freebie that Anita stitched; I fell in love with not only it but the thread she used! I don't know how well it suited Arbor Day, but I was so happy to have an opportunity to stitch it! Some fabric that I stashed a little while ago while shopping for "pastel" and "ecru" quilting prints to make a frayed circle quilt like the one Deb made a while back. lol--You can see how "Pastel" they are. :P These are a little closer. ;) The pi...

A Valentine Arrives!

How thrilled I was to find Edgar's handwork on my doorstep: ••• So many items were fished out of the packing peanuts! The lolly is a truffle chocolate! (I'm pretty sure it is from Walgreens, if anyone wants one. I worked there during my High School days and I can spot their packaging from a mile. Also, I studied Graphic Design post-secondary, so that might also be why. They have really great seasonal items; just a couple of aisles, but it's pretty unique stuff for good prices. It's my favorite place to buy Christmas Tree stuff. Just don't buy Ritz crackers, unless you're comfortable paying $7 for a box of 'em, lol. Okay, back to the action!) Did you want to see the card? No? Well, I did. :D It's a darling Wizard of Oz colourplate crop from one of the original Frank L. Baum books.
